Sustainable Industrial Manufacturing Conference - Renewable Diesel
I spoke at the SIM-PAC Live Conference in Brisbane, organised by Geoff Matthews, where I presented on the benefits of renewable diesel and its role in supporting the transport industry’s transition away from fossil fuels. The conference brought together a diverse range of innovative technologies, including battery-modified haul trucks from Janus Electric and insights on sustainable aviation fuel from Heidi Hauf, highlighting the breadth of solutions driving decarbonisation.
The event also provided valuable opportunities to connect with and learn from industry leaders, including Julie Leung of Powerblocks AU, as well as Kirsty Bauer, Costa Casiou, Angela Richardson, and Daniela von Rabenau. Overall, it was an inspiring experience that reinforced the strong momentum and commitment across the sector to drive meaningful progress toward a more sustainable future.

E-waste Conference
I spoke at the ITAD & Circular Electronics Expo in Frankfurt, where I discussed the significant risks of inaction on electronic waste for both the environment and human health. Alongside Austin Turpin from Fliptech Australia, I highlighted the importance of responsible e-waste management, emphasising that every resource extracted carries a responsibility to be used efficiently. I also explored how extending the life of electronics through reuse is not only critical for sustainability, but represents a growing economic opportunity.

Sustainable Industrial Manufacturing Conference - Crumb Rubber
In 2024, I participated in a LifeCycle Design panel discussion at the SIM-PAC Live Conference, where I spoke alongside a range of sustainability leaders about the environmental impacts of road construction. I highlighted both the scale of these challenges and the innovative solutions being implemented across my road maintenance contract and within Ventia to improve sustainability outcomes.
The discussion was a valuable opportunity to share insights, reflect on industry progress, and learn from others working to drive more sustainable infrastructure practices.
